Ingredients of Mutton and Veg Soup

  1. You need 300 gms of Mutton (with bone in).
  2. It's 250 gms of Spinach.
  3. Prepare 1 of medium sized onion roughly chopped.
  4. You need of Fistful of Coriander leaves chopped.
  5. You need 1 of medium sized potato cut into half (optional).
  6. You need 2 inches of ginger.
  7. Prepare 10-12 of Garlic cloves roughly crushed.
  8. It's 1/4 cup of Shelled peas.
  9. It's 9-10 of Beans (just cut the ends only).
  10. Prepare 1 of Carrot cut into small pieces lengthwise.
  11. You need 1/4 tsp of Turmeric powder.
  12. Prepare as per taste of Salt.
  13. It's 2-3 tbsps of Mustard oil (or Veg oil).
  14. Prepare of Whole Garam Masala.
  15. It's 1 of Bay Leaf.
  16. It's 2-3 of Green Cardamom.
  17. It's 1 of Cinnamon stick.
  18. You need 2-3 of Cloves.
  19. Prepare As required of Few Black peppercorns.

Mutton and Veg Soup step by step

  1. Prepare the vegetables as listed. Heat the oil in a pot or kadai and add the whole garam masala first...let it crackle and then add the onion and meat and saute till it browns a bit. Then add the potato and saute & Cook for sometimes. Add salt and turmeric too with little water. Bhunno for sometime...then add 3 cups of water and let it boil & cook covered with a lid..

  4. After 30-40 minutes, add the carrot,beans and coriander and cook futher, add more hot water, I added 6 more cups of hot water in the 1 hour of boiling & cooking..
  5. When the meat and veggies are cooked, add the peas and the spinach and cook for about 10 minutes....check salt and the consistency of the soup you desire. Serve hot with a dollop of butter with hot steam rice. Bon Appetit!!!!.
